WHAT IS NGV
What is Natural Gas?
Methane or natural gas is the utmost in environmentally friendly fuels; one of the most plentiful in nature. In fact, Natural Gas does not contain any impurities, sulphur, lead compounds or aromatic hydrocarbons, resulting in extremely low levels of exhaust pollution without odor, particulate and combustion residue. The chemical composition of Natural Gas causes much less production of CO2 compared to other fuels, it also reduces the formation of ozone in their atmosphere.
How NGV Fuel work?
-
NGV is stored as a gaseous fuel under high pressure in a storage cylinder which is placed in the rear boot of vehicles.
-
In NGV driven vehicles, when the engine is switched on, the NGV solenoid valve opens to allow the fuel to flow from the storage cylinder pushes the NGV fuel is gaseous form into the regulator. The regulator reduce the NGV fuel to atmosphere pressure before feeding it to the gas-air mixer. The NGV air mixture then flows to the combustion chamber of the Engine.
Safety
-
Are gas systems safe? Products installed on vehicles in specialized car workshops are homologated by the Ministry of Transport according to European standards and Malaysia Standards. All products are also individually tested according to the demands of our quality system, which was certified to ISO 9001 in 1996 and to ISO TS 16949 in 2001: the latter is the Quality System used by the motor vehicle industry and has extremely severe quality standards.
What must the status of my vehicle be in order to change over to gas?
-
Good performance of gasoline vehicles and good overall maintenance are prerequisites for good vehicle performance when running on gas. Vehicles must be in good overall condition if a Natural Gas system is to be installed, especially as regards its gasoline supply system and the maintenance of the ignition system, particularly coils, spark plug cables and spark plugs.
What are the benefits of Natural Gas?
-
Firstly, there is the benefit in financial terms given the lower running costs of vehicles that run on Natural Gas compared to cars running on gasoline. Natural Gas costs about 70% less than gasoline so it is possible to redeem the cost of the system quickly and then start saving money, even if the distances covered are not very high. Secondly, there are the benefits for the environment as Natural Gas does not contain benzene or lead; the most harmful substances in other fuels, and particulate is not produced as a results of its combustion, one of the major causes of pollution in towns and cities. Thanks to its environmentally friendly features, vehicles that run on Natural Gas can be used even motor vehicle transport is restricted because of high levels of atmospheric pollution, if contemplated by local regulations.
The cost of a Natural Gas System
-
The cost of a Natural Gas system varies according to the type of vehicle that it is to be installed on : whether the vehicle operates with a carburator, injection system or injection system with a catalytic exhaust. It also depends on the type of system that is installed: this can be a mixer, injection single-point or the latest generation, multipoint injection with electric injectors
