NGV stands for Natural Gas for Vehicles. It is a gas compressed under high pressure
that is stored in a cylinder normally located in the boot of your car.

How safe is the cylinder?

The structural strength of the cylinder can withstand a 90km/h collision, small caliberarms fire and various knocks without rupturing. This is much stronger than a normal petrol tank
What about the gas inside?

NGV is lighter than air. If it does leak, the gas will rise quickly and dissipate. NGV is not easily flammable
